The rails that move Uganda's rent

Landlod Digital Services Limited is a Ugandan technology company. We built one thing and we build it deeply: the rails that move rent from a tenant's phone to a landlord's bank — with a receipt, a confirmation, and a record at every step.

Who we are

Obsessive about proof, built in Kampala

Rent in Uganda has always moved on trust — cash to a caretaker, a scribbled note, a phone call to confirm. Too often the money arrived but the proof didn’t. Landlod exists to close that gap.

Everything the platform does is shaped by one habit: leave a record. QR-verified receipts. Double confirmations — one when rent is paid, one when it lands in the bank. Audit trails nobody can quietly edit. We build for the landlord in Mbarara, the manager in Kampala, the tenant in Gulu, and the owner watching from abroad.

Our promise: rent collected. Money delivered. Everyone informed.

Our tagline

“Rent Smart, Pay Easy.”

Four words that describe both sides of every tenancy — and the standard we hold every feature to.

Mission

Why we get up in the morning

To make every rent payment in Uganda provable, every settlement visible, and every landlord–tenant relationship free of money disputes.

Proof over promises

Every claim in the system is backed by a record anyone can verify — receipts carry QR codes, settlements carry confirmations, and nothing rests on somebody's word.

Everyone informed

The tenant, the landlord, the manager and the observer each hear what they should, when it happens — by SMS, email and in-app.

Money never idles in the dark

From the moment a payment lands to the moment it settles in the bank, the trail is visible to the people it belongs to.

Built for Uganda

UGX, mobile money, USSD and SMS come first. Smartphones are optional — the platform meets people on the phones they already have.

What we build

What the platform actually does

No buzzwords — this is the journey of every shilling that moves through Landlod, from the tenant’s phone to the owner’s bank.

  1. 1

Tenants pay against a Space Code

Rent and short-stay invoices are paid by mobile money against a unique Space Code — no app or account required.

  2. 2

Money settles to verified Ugandan banks

Collections settle Realtime or Lumpsum to verified bank accounts, via Stanbic Bank and Agent Banking rails reaching every Ugandan bank.

  3. 3

    Every payment produces permanent proof

An instant, permanent, QR-verifiable receipt is issued for every single payment.

  4. 4

    Everyone who should know, knows

Payment alerts, settlement confirmations, reminders and observer notifications go out by SMS, email and in-app.

  5. 5

Managers run their book under their own brand

Property managers put their logo on every receipt and their name on every SMS their tenants receive.
